Sherman V. 13th / 18th Royal Hussars (Part II)

This years summer break was quite recreative for me. Had much fun with my family and relatives. Also had the chance for some modelling. Still I am out with building up a small British Normandy force for wargaming.
Put some stress on another Dragon Sherman V. These kits are extremly nice with perfect fitting. This Sherman reprensents a vehicle from 13th / 18th Royal Hussars. Please don´t quote me on the turret number which is eventuelly fictiv.
The modell is work in progress; all is primed in base colours using a mixture of Tamiya dark green plus OD.  A first light wash is added.
The marching Commando is from Caesar, a nice and much welcommed set.

Summer - break

Gentlemen,
Visitors,

will have a small but much desired summer break from business and busy modelling.
My relatives from Sweden will arrive here in Berlin this evening and will stay with me and my own family for some three weeks. This will be some days of talking, sharing memorys, sitting in the garden, drinking much (boys we ar Swedish!). Quite pleased that my older brother Ake could come along. Did not see him three long years.
Will be back in August.

Cheers

M7 Priest - Italeri

This one here is a British M7 Priest. Some of these formidable SP Guns were around with 3. Brit. Infantry Division that landed on Sword beach. The main gun is still the 105mm howitzer. Was told this gun had a good punch even on Panzers.
The vehicle is from the fast-building Italeri set and got some slightly modifications.

The gun is ready for paint but I am still lacking Decals...

AB Figures: Entrenchend British infantry

Must admit that I never ever painted up white metal figures. Some days back I mailed a good friend and told him I´m around to build up a British normandy fighting group for wargaming. He send me some of these AB figures and got my promise to have these figures back when I am through with gaming British normandy.
Was quite excited with this offer and... was much more exited having these little gems in my hand. Primed these figures with GW black and painted them with a mixture of GW / Vallejo colours. These AB figures are totally different from anything I´ve seen or worked on in plastic. Thumps up. They come up realy nice and I wonder if these competing white metal comp. like TQD miniatures are as good as these. Will invest more time and money on white metal.
