Crew - Members

Here are some crewmembers for armoured vehicles.
The "man" on the right is from company Caesar, the other well known companions from Preiser.
I intend to have the steel-melmet figurine in the Armourfast StuIG.

StuIG 33 #3

Here is the next update.
The model is now painted with base-coate, dull coate, hairspray, white paint and weathering paint.
II always found it interesting how much texture these layers ad...

The next steps will be:
Painting details
More weathering
A crew - yes! a crew!

I will need a least one commander who will sit in the open hatch.

Hunting time

Here are some more pictures of my Jagdpanzers.

Both models are from the Dragon range. The Jagdtiger comes with "Dragon applied" Zimmerit.
I do like the Tiger very much. It is one of the best Dragon models I did ever worked on.

The Zimmerit on the Jagdpanzer IV was selfmade with FIMO paste.
On both models I work with Vallejo air paint. For the faded winter-wash I used the hairspray method.
The white colour is from Tamiya.

The "crewmembers" are from the Preiser range.

Battallions Command

Here are some pictures of my battalions command.
Vehicles are from Academy and Hasegawa. The radio car is from ICM.
The figures are from Caesar and Preiser.

StuIG 33 #2

Here is the next update on the sturmgun.

I sprayed the vehicle with a 80 to 20 mix of panzergrey and plain white (Vallejo air). After a good drying I faded the tank with windex thinned mixing white (gouache colours). Later on a light wash with water mixable oils (windsor newton).

The next steps will be:

Fixing the result with dullcoate.
White paint (random applied)

Armourfast StuIG 33 B

This night I started my work on StuIG 33 of Armourfast.
Quite a nice modell with lots of option for upgrading.
I needed some 3 hours to have it completed in this way.

Please note: The gun mount is a bit fidly. The descrption is diffrent from what you find in the box. But all work fine.

Nothing is realy ready but progress steady.

The good old 1.Co

These here are in fact older pictures - the men of my glorious old 1. Company. I made these figures back in 2008 as I remember. These "guys" saw intense fighting in several rapid fire! engagements.

Here is another "older" mini-dio. Again from the "piercing the Oder line" Wargame series. The Panzer III turret is resin made. Can´t recall the manufacture. The figure is from the Caeasars range.
This mini-dio was sold in 2011.

Art. Support

By chance I found some older pictures of a 7.5 artillery piece on a separated hard disk.
This little vignette was done in 2009 for the "Piercing the Oder - Line" games.
Figures and the gun are from the Pegasus range.

Commanding Officer 1. Bat / 5 Co

Here are pictures of the Commanding Officer of my 5. Company.
This figure is manufactured by Caesar, a piece from the Mountain Troops range. I cut of the head and changed it to an officers cap from the Preiser range. Ceasar plastik glues fine with plastik modelling glue.

Jagdpanzer IV #1

This is Jagdpanzer IV of my Jagdpanzer Company. The Co will consist of one more Jadpanzer plus on Jagdtiger. All vehicles will be in a faded winter white wash sheme.

The modell was made bycompany Hasegawa. Zimmerit was done with FIMO modelling paste. It was worked out / carved with a selfmade tool.

are we not men?

Are we not men? is the titel of the fantastic and mind cracking debut album of the band "DEVO".

Well this site is not about DEVO, musik, post-punk or 1978.

This site is about small scale modelling in the scale 1:72 und smaller.
This site is about military modelling.
This site is made and operated by the small scale modeller darkbirk.

Enjoy !
